First QuarterTonight · 50% illumination

Decision point — commit to action and push through resistance.

About Tonight's Phase

First Quarter

The First Quarter Moon is exactly half-illuminated, with the right half lit and the left half dark (Northern Hemisphere). It rises around noon and sets around midnight, making it visible in the afternoon and evening sky.

This phase is often called the 'crisis of action.' The initial excitement of the New Moon has faded, and real obstacles appear. The First Quarter demands commitment: do you push forward or abandon the plan? It is a turning point that rewards decisive action and problem-solving. Challenges that arise now are not stop signs — they are invitations to adapt.
